Dan was born in Brooklyn and raised in Staten Island. He has a background in multiple sports but was mainly a competitive swimmer. He competed at the collegiate level, swimming 4 years at SUNY Cortland. Always being in the gym, after his swimming career was over Dan was looking for something that could match the intensity of swimming workouts and that is when he stumbled upon CrossFit. Dan joined SIC within months of it being open and is thankful that they have given him a place to train and continue to be fit. Dan enjoys all movements in CrossFit and strives to have no weakness in any specific area. In December, 2014 Dan joined the FDNY. He is a firm believer that CrossFit prepared him for the physical demands of being a firefighter. He continues to CrossFit to train for real life situations and is always willing to help anyone that walks through the SIC door.

Anthony grew up playing baseball and football. Although he remained active after graduating high school, he realized he needed to make a lifestyle change. Motivation and dedication, two qualities he prides himself on, drove him as he trained for the marathon. Since then, he has completed 3 full marathons and multiple half marathons. Anthony discovered CrossFit 3 years ago and never looked back. CrossFit offers a unique blend of competition and community, which he feels drives its members to succeed. Since joining SIC, Anthony continued to make changes to enhance his health. After losing almost 80 pounds and maintaining the lost weight since high school, he knows just how important nutrition can be, especially when working out.
